Everyone has heard of Pinterest.  Most of us have Pinterest accounts with activities, crafts, recipes, clothes, that we like.  But have you ever actually tried to follow the directions of a craft you have pinned on Pinterest?  It can be a rewarding experience.

Pinterest has an activity where you can write on a white mug (or any white dish) with sharpies and bake it at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 30 minutes. There was an experiment done to see if this actually worked or not. On Pinterest it suggests that you do not put the dishes in the dish washer because it makes the design fade away.

Before you begin the design, clean the dishes with glass cleaner and a lint-free cloth until the surface is shiny. Take the color sharpies you desire (be aware that the colors may change after being baked) and begin designing. If you want to change the design but you have already started (and it has not gone in the oven) just spray the glass cleaner where sharpie is unwanted and wipe it away with a lint-free cloth. Take off any stickers that may be on the cup off and place the cup on a cookie sheet for more stability. Then put it in a pre-heated oven of 425 degrees Fahrenheit for 45 minutes. If you put the dish in the oven at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 30 minutes the design will wash away very easily. Once the time is up, take the cup out, let it cool down and put it to use.
