‘Furious 7’

Becoming the number one movie in the world, ‘Furious 7’ is by far the best movie released in recent months. The Fast and Furious movies have been a hit ever since the beginning of the movie series starring actors such as Vin Diesel and Paul Walker.

The Fast and Furious movies are known for being about illegal street racing. However, there is more to the movies than just street racing. The characters show the importance of family, and actor Vin Diesel does a fantastic job of portraying this value. As his character Dominic Toretto says, “I don’t have friends. I have family.”

The movie has been a big hit in the theaters and for a very understandable reason. The movie is quite possibly the best in the series and remains the number one movie in the world for its third week. Senior Rachel Werner said, “I thought it was at least a four, possibly a five.”

‘Furious 7’ is filled with action and awesome cars through the whole movie. One scene involves the team dropping out of a C-130 military plane while inside of their cars. This scene was definitely a jaw dropping stunt that made for the beginning of a spectacular vehicle chase scene. Werner also said, “My favorite part was when they were at the prince’s birthday party and they unveiled the really nice car.” The car? A $3.4 million super car known as ‘The HyperSport.’

The loss of Paul Walker on Nov. 30, 2013 shocked the world. Vin Diesel and Walker had become very close friends as they acted together in so many movies. Diesel later named his daughter “Paulina” in honor of Paul Walker.

Walker played the role of Brian O’Conner in ‘Fast and Furious’, one of the main characters in the story. Once an undercover FBI agent working to bring down character Dominic Toretto, O’Conner eventually left behind his career and joined Toretto and his team and even married Toretto’s sister, Mia.

Even though ‘Furious 7’ is such a great movie, many ‘Fast and Furious’ fans expected a sad ending due to Paul Walker’s death. Instead of killing off Walker’s character, the directors ended the movie with Walker and Diesel driving side by side in the sunset and eventually parting ways at a fork in the road. Werner said, “The worst part was the ending. I thought it was great, but it was also sad.”
‘Furious 7’ earns a 5 out of 5 rating.
