Sunday, Sept. 20, one of the most anticipated mixtapes this year was available to download and stream on Apple Music. Rappers Drake and Future teamed up to create ‘What Time To Be Alive,’ and the music world is going crazy. Drake and Future are two of the most popular Hip Hop artists right now and when word was out they were working on a project together, everyone expected a great outcome.

According to Chart News, the collaboration is projected to reach 500k sales in its first week. The mixtape has 11 songs and is full of clever and thought provoking lines from both artists. Most of the songs have higher paced beats that are more associated with Future, but Drake showed off his versatility proving he can kill verses from slow jams to hard hitting trap beats.

Drake alone has had a busy year with his music. Earlier this year he released his album ‘If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late,’ and also gave the public four singles to blast through their speakers. Then the mixtape with Future was recorded in six days. But he’s not done there because before the year is over, Drake is releasing another album titled ‘Views From The 6ix.’ ‘Views From The 6ix’ has no release date yet, but knowing Drake, it’ll rocket up the charts. ‘What A Time To Be Alive’ is available for purchase on iTunes for $9.99.
