Logic, also known as Young Sinatra, is a 25 year old rapper who was born and raised in Gaithersburg, MA and started off the new year with a bang by dropping a single for his fans. Logic finished off 2015 with a killer track named “Tree of Life.”

The new single has been widely received since its release on Dec. 31. Audiences should be warned because the lyrics do contain some bad language.

The release of this single was a surprising move since he recently dropped the sophomore album, ‘The Incredible True Story’ in 2015. Logic is signed by Def Jam records and broke into the music scene with his mixtapes that soon became widely popular. His first album “Under Pressure” was released in 2014.

Produced by Tae Beast, the “Tree of Life” is a four minute and twenty three second single that flows with a chilling piano melody with a sort of old school sound. The Maryland rapper talks in the new song about how a mix of money, cars and women isn’t exactly the meaning of life, and raps about how an atmosphere track hits him hard. The song has a good feel to it and when you listen to it, it makes you feel good. This single is another example of Logic’s masterful art and always has flow with whatever beat he has and he always kills it; he’s a lyrical genius. Although Logic has only released two albums, his musical ability will keep getting better and better as his fan following grows. If the “Tree of Life” is any indication of Logic’s future, I think he will break out really soon.

The “Tree of Life” isn’t available to stream on most music apps because it’s only been released on SoundCloud and YouTube. I rate this single 8 out of 10.
