Do we still have Halloween Spirit? Since 2017 only 48 percent of adults and adolescents wore a costume. Then only 171 million Americans celebrated Halloween in 2016 and  157 million Americans celebrated Halloween in 2015 (pumpkinpatchesandmore.org). Only 15 million people were added to the numbers of Americans celebrating Halloween in 2016. Now with these statistics, it’s time to put them to the test to see how many students or even staff members dress up or celebrate Halloween.

Anne Haines (Art Teacher)

Q; Do you dress up for Halloween. If not why?

Q: Do you go to Halloween parties?

Becca Bender (Freshman)

A: Mos-ish, just a thing to do

  Q: Do you dress up?

Heather Black (Librarian Sub)

  Q: Do you celebrate Halloween?

A: Yes, I celebrate Halloween. I decorate my house and take my kids trick or treating. Me and my daughter both dress up as witches a lot. Maybe this year we will try a Harry Potter theme.

Mrs. Rivas (Librarian)

A: I celebrate Halloween. I go to parties and take my kids trick or treating and even carve pumpkins. You know, the works.

Irei Castro (Senior)

Q: How do you celebrate Halloween?

A: I decorate like with little stuff. I dress up, I hang with friends, sometimes I go to kids’ parties.

It looks like from the interviews that adults and adolescents do celebrate Halloween. Whether it’s for themselves or for their children, they still decorate and celebrate spooky month.
